HERITAGE AND CITIES: MANAGING MUSEUMS AND MONUMENTS（10月18日）、
CURRENT TRENDS AND ISSUES OF CULTURAL POLICIES FROM EUROPEAN PERSPECTIVE（10月19日）18:30-20:00
The first lecture will focus on cultural heritage. Although it is considered as a driver for development, a vast majority of cultural heritage assets is not well preserved and managed. Along with financial problems we need to challenge issues such as the concentration of success and the dissemination of failures. Discussion will be illustrated with very relevant contemporary themes such as funding, networking and labelizing. The second lecture will outline two trends that have been activated behind the public debt crisis - devolution; and public private partnership. This creates new places for culture, and new interdisciplinary practices, which changes the traditional design of cultural policy.
